Available Experiences

Rural Health Experience (RHE)
The RHE Program allows students interested in healthcare to spend three to five days shadowing within a rural hospital. Students gain experience within their discipline but also shadow with providers of other health disciplines to learn about multiple levels of care.

Rural Health Careers Camp
The Rural Health Careers Camp is an introduction to healthcare careers for high school students! This three-day overnight camp includes hands-on activities and labs to help students explore options in the exciting field of healthcare.

6-Week Interprofessional Preceptorship
The Preceptorship is a six-week program for students pursuing a career in healthcare. Set in a rural community, students will shadow with healthcare professionals of different disciplines and work together on a project to impact the local community.

Healthcare Professions Presentations For Career and College Readiness
We present to high school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) classes on the health care industry, job opportunities, and ideas to help students prepare to apply to college. Information on the Rural Health Careers Camp and other student opportunities can also be shared in presentations.
