About The Network: TUFH
The Network: TUFH is an international organization of academic health professions’ institutions and organizations promoting equity in health through community-oriented education, research and service. It brings together member institutions and individuals from all over the world, including multi-professional and interprofessional health providers, academic health professionals, and stakeholders in health systems developments.
The NCRHP and the Rockford campus are full members of The Network: TUFH, working to promote equity, disparity reduction, and interprofessional education and collaboration in rural communities. NCRHP faculty members serve on the organization’s Interprofessional Education Task Force and as co-editor for the organization’s journal, Education for Health, a Medline indexed, open access e-journal that publishes manuscripts and communications focused on:
- Community-based education of health professionals
- Integration of medicine and public health in practice and medical education
- Global health workforce issues and development
- Multidisciplinary health professions education
- Partnerships between health system stakeholders for disease prevention and control
