On Friday, February 25, 2022, Beth Squires, Assistant Director of External and Pipeline Projects, met with Oregon High School students to promote the Rural Healthcare Explorers Program.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois, the National Center for Rural Health Professions is providing a six-week course to introduce Oregon High School students to the field of healthcare. Students will learn about fields such as medicine, pharmacy, and nursing through hands-on activities, discussions with local healthcare professionals, and a health topic exploration project. The program will run from April 5 – May 13, 2022 at Oregon High School in Oregon, IL.
