Pan American Health Organization
Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), with main headquarters in Washington, DC, is a regional office of the World Health Organization. It is an international public health agency with almost 110 years of experience in working to improve health and living standards of the countries of the Americas. NCRHP has worked closely with PAHO in development of Primary Health Care initiatives and as a partner in implementing North-South collaborations in the Americas. Dr. Martin MacDowell has taught the PAHO Primary Health Care curriculum to medical and health professions faculty from numerous English speaking Caribbean countries. Forums and workshops that the NCRHP has participated in through our PAHO collaboration include:
